The F.H.S of house representetive, Mr. Bankole
The F.H.S of house representetive, Mr. Bankole, was on Monday morning granted bail by  Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Mr Bankole had been arraigned before the court on a 16-count charge of contract inflation amounting to the sum of N894 million by the EFCC last week.
He was, however, rearrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes
commission
His application for bail, which was argued by his lawyer, Chief Solomon Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), could not be heard on Friday because the judge said he needed to study the arguments of the prosecution and the defense.
The court then adjourned ruling till Monday.
At today‘s hearing, Justice Okorowo granted bail to Bankole with N5 million with one surety.
He was swiftly rearrested by the EFCC, which said it would arraign him later today at a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja over a N40 billion scam.
MR. Bankole had last Friday alleged that there were plans by the EFCC to re-arrest him.
In a letter to the commission by his lawyer, MR.Bankole said he heard from ‘competent sources‘ that he would be re-arrest him immediately after today‘s bail hearing.
