UNIVERSITIES BLACKLISTS STRIKING FOR UTME 2011(JAMB)
(JAMB) Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board suspended admissions to state-owned universities in south-eastern Nigeria for the 2011/2012 session following the prolonged strike by their academic proses staff.
The Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor MR.Dibu Ojerinde, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos. Mr.Ojerinde also said that the affected institutions had been deleted from the website of JAMB for the time being.He said that the decision was as a result of the protracted face-off between lecturers of the State -owned in the South East and their state governments.Bellow are the listed Universities:
Abia State University, Uturu
Anambra State University, Uli;
Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki;
Evan Enweren University (former Imo State University
and Enugu State University of Technology, Enugu
Suffering the consequence of this face off will not only include the university students but also prospective students who are looking forward to gain admission into these universities after setting for the forth for UTME 2011 exam.
