Warri Delta Stat - 14 year old Girl Turned Into Snake With Human Head I was inundated earlier today about a story  warri-DELTA STATE girl turning into a half snake at hotel Excel, the popular hotel on rifinery road. About A.m, A person who told me it was an old video; determined not to be a non-believer in Warri producing the unbelievable after i half-doubted the story that a boy was burnt to death for stealing for his valentine date, i told him i hear people are gathered at the hotel and they told me the video wasnt uploaded yet. Meanwhile, i went online but saw nothing tagged ‘Warri’ ‘snake’ or ‘hotel excel’ but saw a few half snake, half woman videos. I came to the conclusion that it was indeed most possibly true since they said they had not posted it online yet. But to my horror and chagrin, i got to discover that it was the same video that was later sent
to me
I am not saying the story is false yet, all i am saying is that the video should be produced. It is expedient that at every point in time, especially with the volatile situation of our nation, we eschew ignorance and not jump on the bandwagon of being the first to share ‘the bad news’ or ‘the spectacular story’; we must be willing to investigate and not show arrogant ignorance as i discover a lot of people are still doing even after being confronted with the facts of this story, a la, youtube video. I have been guilty of being in that situation once or twice and i hope not to fall into this sort of childish scenario anymore. God has given us a mind to question, investigate and decipher; even when it is a choice between the devil and the red sea or between two good options, we can by wisdom come out unscathed.
Coming to the issue ofthe so-called girl turned into snake tale, Warri was awash with the story and for those who are waffarians in any way, the fact that people would be gathered(this was one of the major argument points) at the Hotel, is nothing new. People are always going to gather at the slightest instance of a ‘grand’ tale like that. Warri is conditioned to operate the spectacular!
Whether it is true or not, i have checked the story and tried to have all sides. From the youtube video (below), it is clear that it was uploaded in 3rd march, 2010 under the title “half snake, half woman” by someone with an Arab name or close. It is a spectacular sight but it isn’t unusual for us to see anomalies in birth of humans or animals happen in our day, but that is clearly not the case in point. Question is why would people circulate an old video, with a story as “girl turned into snake with human head at Hotel Excel in warri”.
This headline associates Hotel Excel with operations of runs girls which produce half snake, half human and of course valentine was two days ago. For the average Waffarian, that is much more than enough to set the city into over-drive and that is what whoever started this story, achieved.
Whether the story is true or not, is a matter to be proved, but all i am saying from my safe distance is that, if it is this video, then we waffarians and indeed Nigerians didn’t cross-check the story before we believed – that is for those who believed. The rumours out there say that it is ploy to destroy the fortunes of the hotel; if this is the case, it is a huge shame to everyone involved including those who helped propagate the lies, it is expedient that you engage in propagating the truth if this ever turns out to be a lie. Please People should be careful going out with men,women's,boys and girls because what happened on valentine day tells you that people re not good even your own father or your brother,sister can use you to make money.
