In ABAKALIKI Mr Elechi swears in new judge(As a Governor of Ebonyi State)
· MR Chief Martin Elechi,The Governor of Ebonyi State on Thursday swore in Mr. Vincent Nwancho the judge of the state high court.
· Speaking at the ceremony in the capital stat of Ebonyi,ABAKALIKI, Chief MR Martin Elechi said the appointment was aimed at repositioning the judicial system in the state for the equitable dispensation of justice, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
· Judges in the state are expected to reciprocate this gesture by upholding the tenets of judicial practice which commendably they are presently upholding,” he said.
· He advised the new judge not be carried away by the glamour of his new office but ensure that he met the challenges of the office.
· Says that, they should re-enact the feat achieved during the days as the director of public prosecution in present called, For justify of the confidence reposed in you by the people,” he said.
· MR Nwancho is the immediate past director of public prosecution in the state’s Ministry of Justice.
· The state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Jossy Eze, noted that with the swearing in of MR Nwacho, the state now had twenty four (24) high court judges and 3 justices of the Court of Appeal in ABAKALIKI as a howl
· “The state judiciary will remain grateful to the governor for this elevation as it will help in achieving the objective of dispensing quick and equitable justice to the people.
